Startup
File Magic Key Patent
We hired Maschoff Brennan, a leading Utah patent firm to research, document and file a patent on our unique "Magic Key" MPC private key technology.
Seed Financing
We raised seed financing from a variety of investors, all of whom shared our vision of a better self-custody ecosystem for crypto. We used these funds to build the V1.0 of the app and platform.
Integrate 0x Protocol
This protocol enabled users to broadcast and execute swaps directly on-chain. This gives users access to thousands of tokens on the most popular blockchains and aggregates liquidity from 100+ AMMs and private market makers.
Stream Live Prices
We built an engine that reads live prices from exchanges around the world and streams them live to the app via Websockets.
Social Guardians
Social Guardians enable friends and family to be notified of any key restoration attempt. It can also drive viral user acquisition.
Breaking News
In addition to live prices, we created a newsfeed to keep Ethos users up to date with the latest news, streamed right to the app.
Public Launch
We launched on July 4th 2023 and celebrated "Crypto Independence Day" On this day people could be free from the risks of centralized custody and truly own their digital assets.

Enable users to utilize Layer 2 networks such as Arbitrum, Polygon and Optimism to save on trading fees.
Affiliate Rewards
Affiliate rewards will give every Ethos Vault user a unique affiliate code they can share with family and friends. Every transaction can earn affiliate reward bonuses.
Self Custody Perps
Users can trade perpetual swaps, which are a type of derivative contract that essentially allows them to trade assets with leverage. This will be possible via the Arbitrum network and Ethos will have an interface natively in the app to allow users to do so.

Crypto never sleeps, and neither does our app.
NFTs
Enable users to store their favorite NFTs in their Ethos Vault.
Connect Debit Card
A virtual pre-paid debit card would enable Ethos Vault users to spend USDC at retail. Users could "top off" and spend available balance at retail.
Peer-To-Peer Payments
Debit cards with prepaid balances also enable the potential for peer-to-peer payments and remittitance.
Cashless Payments
Merchants in emerging markets with the Ethos Vault could enable cashless retail payments by simply printing out a QR code.
Reward Spinner
To encourage loyalty and stickiness, we envision gamification that lets users come and earn daily rewards with a spinner wheel.
AI Trading
Ethos will enable AI suggestions and trading strategies to held self-custody users find the new and interesting opportunities.
Magic Key Backup Service
Enable a premium key shard backup subscription service (non-custodial) for users.
